So because a man chooses his son over his career he should be ridiculed for not having longevity? Mark showed that he is more of a man than you could ever hope to be. He showed that his priorities were such that his family’s well being came before any popularity he might have gained by continuing to play football. Mark Rypien should be praised and held up as an example to all fathers not put down. SHAME, SHAME,SHAME on you.

@Cosmkdbree…Come on son. The Redskins won 3 Super Bowls with three different Qb’s. Rypien was far from an elite QB and the Skins proved they could win with anyone under center. Doug Williams was named Super Bowl MVP with that Redskins team.

Dude had 3 good years in the league 89′, 90′, 91′ and it was all down hill from there. So regardless of why he left the game his longevity as a good QB was non existant.

This article does not recognize an author but makes a cheesy remark about Mark Rypien not lasting long in the NFL. Fact is, he voluntarily left to take care of his son.

Rypien left on his own terms, for good reason. He has a Super Bowl ring and was, in fact, the MVP.

I am ashamed for the writers of this article. I am even more appalled that the editors at yardbarker.com would reprint such things.

His daughter is beautiful. I wish her luck.

If the author would rather spend $85 at a strip club……lol……well…..hopefully he is in the backroom when he hands over his cash. And…..wrap it up dude. Don’t spread that dumb disease around.
