Caleb Walker of Tupelo High (Miss) pulled off the second best slide I have ever seen in the game of baseball. The slide occurred during a game against Tupelo rival South Panola High (Miss). Tupelo was down by one run and Walker was on 2nd base when teammate J.D. Roberts came to the plate. Roberts knocked a hit into left field and Walker was off to the races rounding third and heading home.

Have you ever seen a football team put up 54 points in a game? It’s a pretty rare feat in the NFL these days, and football scoring generally comes in multiples of 3 and 7. So when I saw that Lake Highlands High School (Texas) baseball team dropped 54 points on Samuell High (Texas) in 5 innings on Tuesday night my mouth hit the floor.

We all know the motto “Everything is bigger in Texas.” Well apparently everything is bigger and dumber. The Allen Texas school district is planning to build a $60 million shrine to their football team that won it’s first state championship in 2008.
