According to the Atlanta Business Journal, Glavine is actively seeking out investment partners to form a group with so he can purchase the team and keep them in Atlanta. The team has an estimated $80-$100 million price tag. Glavine has a background in hockey as he was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings out of high school back in 1984.

Atlanta Thrashers Hold A Wedding During Game… Attendance Still Sucks

The Atlanta Thrashers are desperate for some attention. The team is currently third in their division, the ownership group is in shambles, and they have the third worst attendance in the NHL. I have been to a few games this year and I swear there are more people lined up at Chik-fil-A at lunch than at these games.
