
The trade deadline has come and gone with a few teams positioning themselves for the future in different aspects. Some teams are set to compete for a championship now, while some teams are positioning themselves for future success. Here is the good, the bad and the ugly from this year’s trade deadline.

Okay. I know that I was the one screaming for the Hawks to make a trade now to try to make an improvement to the team. I know the expression “Something is better than nothing”, but damn! I know we needed a point guard, considering Mike Bibby is past his expiration date, and I like Kirk Hinrich. I just don’t three players like him.

In lieu of the Rock’s return to the WWE sometime last week, I feel this is necessary. Ahem… FINALLY!! Carmelo has come back to New York! FINALLY, Carmelo has come back to Madison Square Garden!! The All Star Break has come and gone. There are several teams trying to better for their playoff push, Carmelo Anthony is still dangling out there for the Knicks, Nets or Lakers, but I don’t hear the Hawks in any of these rumors.

President Barack Obama coached up his daughter Sasha’s basketball team over the weekend. The funny thing was, Sasha was not even there. Sasha and her sister, Malia, were with their mother skiing in Colorado.

Bob Sanders was released by the Indianapolis Colts this morning. Colts GM Jim Irsay announced the move via Twitter this morning. Bob Sanders was once considered to be one of the best safety’s in the NFL and a cornerstone to the Colts defense. However, continual injuries have derailed Sanders career. Since joining the Colts Sanders has played more than six games in a season only twice.
