If nothing else, the BCS has made the regular season of college football the best regular season of any other sport by far. Each week is more important than the last. There is no place else where a fan roots on his team and now has to root for his team’s opponents to win before and after you play them.

America’s Back-Ups

cowboys suck

For three years I’ve been told that the Cowboys are the most talented team in the NFL, and for three years I’ve told “Cowboys Lovers” that I just don’t see it. First of all, the owner is the problem. He gives money to anybody that scores a touchdown. He paid Romo – a back-up – superstar money, and then he turned around and gave Marion Barber starter money. Barber was a great third down back-up running back, but he is far from a superstar. To top it all off, Jones then paid his third wide receiver, Miles Austin, starter money.

Game Recap: Hawks vs. Memphis

Hawks opener

Both Teams Played Hard By Brandon McCoy “Well, that was impressive.” That’s what I said after the Hawks’ 119-104 victory over Memphis last night. For years the Hawks have been notoriously bad on the road, so to start off the season with a win on the road hopefully will give them confidence throughout the year. [...]

“What should I do?” …. Just play basketball! The recent Nike commercial with LeBron James has been a hot topic of discussion, especially within media outlets such as ESPN and the hot blog spots. But really, this is much ado about nothing.

Joe’s contract was larger than any of this summer’s free agents and now Atlanta fans are looking for him to produce.

Time to Rebound

Techy

The Yellow Jackets are probably happy to have an off week after a loss at Clemson that dealt a devastating blow to Georgia Tech’s conference championship aspirations. Clemson was finally able to break their four game losing streak against the Jackets with a 27-13 victory at home on Saturday.

Week 7 is complete and the TNSP guys continue their hot streak. Ok not all of us are hot, after opening the season on a tear, much like his Bears, G Winn has fallen back to earth hard going and abysmal 5-9 over the weekend. Notty Dred retained his level on consistency going 9-5 and Khalil kept his hot streak alive going 10-4 for the third straight week.

THE BCS: BEAUTY CONTEST SYSTEM ANALYSIS

MISS USA 2010

That’s right. The BCS, better known as the Beauty Contest System, has more metaphorical T & A than you could ask for…. In this analysis, picture these teams as if they were in a Hooters International contest or any other beauty contest that will work for you. Now that we have set the stage, let’s begin ….

The Round Table Ep. 20

The NFL cracks down on helmet to helmet collisions, the NBA discusses contraction, Oregon gets jumped, and the MLB Playoffs are in full effect.

WTF?! Peruvian Soccer Players Drugged

faint

Soccer may be confusing and not seem like a real sport to some of you, but in other countries, soccer is more than a sport: its WAR, and people go to extreme lengths to win. That would explain why, during a match that would decide which team moves up the top tier of Peruvian soccer, one team surreptitiously drugged the other.
